As I sit here this afternoon waiting for the Super Bowl game to begin, I thought now would be a good time to update my blog. It's been a busy week and next week will be even busier as I begin a new part-time job. I just hope it doesn't interfere with my "creative time". My time now is split between creating my garden totems and watching my beautiful eight month old granddaughter a couple days a week. And, of course once the weather is better, I'll need to get back out into my garden to get it in shape. My garden totems have been quite active this week on Etsy treasury listings. At last count I think I had items in five different treasuries this past week. That's a record for me!!! Here they are in case you missed them on my Facebook page.
These treasuries include amazing works by other Etsy artists. Be sure to check them out. One of these artists is a new friend of mine - Kyera from Kglass. Kyera creates and designs unique glass beads and jewelry, personally hand-crafted in the flame and fashioned into wearable art. Her work is absolutely stunning. These are just a few of her beautiful creations . . . Kyera has a fun blog, and just today she featured my work in her blog! I was so honored to be included!! Check out Kyera's blog and look for me in the "Giddy Gardens" post. I am meeting so many amazing Etsy artists through my shop. I plan to highlight my favorites in future posts. Stayed tuned to learn who my "favs" are. Thank you for following my blog. This is a daily learning process and I'm getting trained by some pretty experienced artist bloggers that I follow. I hope to keep you entertained so you'll keep coming back. "God doesn't require us to succeed; he only requires that you try." ---Mother Teresa, Catholic nun and Nobel Peace Prize recipient |
